Akil Marshall, a 75-year-old former bodybuilder, shared his story as part of Men's Health's Black In Fitness series. Marshall talked about his journey in fitness, from playing semi-professional football to working with NBA players as a strength coach. He also discussed the challenges he faced as a Black man in the fitness industry, including being the only Black person in certain rooms. Marshall emphasized the importance of Black people overfilling their space and creating their own opportunities in order to make the fitness industry more equitable.
