Showtime is gearing up for the premiere of its limited series Fellow Travelers, which stars Matt Bomer and Jonathan Bailey. The show will first be available on Paramount+ with Showtime on October 27, followed by its linear debut on Showtime on October 29. The series will also premiere in various countries on Paramount+ between October 27 and October 28. Jelani Alladin, Allison Williams, and Noah J. Ricketts also star in the series. Fellow Travelers is based on Thomas Mallon's novel and is created by Ron Nyswaner. The show follows the clandestine romance of two men in McCarthy-era Washington. Bomer portrays Hawkins Fuller, a charismatic man with a behind-the-scenes political career, while Bailey plays Tim Laughlin, an idealistic and religious young man. The series portrays the characters' experiences over four decades, touching on important events such as the Vietnam War protests, the disco era, and the AIDS crisis. Bomer and Nyswaner serve as executive producers alongside Robbie Rogers and Dee Johnson. Daniel Minahan directs the first two episodes. Fellow Travelers is co-produced by Fremantle and Showtime.
