In 2023 alone, over 1.5 million kittens were admitted to animal shelters in the U.S. Most of these kittens are younger than five months old and in dire need of care. Although overall kitten intakes have slightly decreased since 2022, the number is still significantly higher compared to past years, highlighting a persistent challenge for shelters nationwide.
