Jonathan Bailey, who plays Anthony Bridgerton on the hit Netflix series Bridgerton, recently discussed his experience coming out as gay. Bailey recalled how early in his career, one of his actor friends was advised not to reveal their alcoholism or homosexuality during pilot season. This influenced Bailey to conceal his sexuality in order to further his career. However, in his early twenties, he decided to come out to his family and friends, prioritizing his happiness over his career. Bailey has since become a heartthrob, appealing to both male and female viewers, but he dislikes being referred to as a sex symbol.
