UEFA has considered moving the Champions League final from Istanbul's Ataturk Stadium to Lisbon's Stadium of Light, due to concerns over unrest following the presidential election in Turkey. Manchester City and Inter Milan are favorites to reach the final on June 10th, but UEFA is concerned about civil disturbances if President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's two-decade reign ends as a result of this month's polls.
The Portuguese Football Federation has been informally approached about hosting the final for the second year in a row. UEFA has not made a decision yet, but the safety of fans is their primary concern.
