Stephen Curry Reveals The Biggest Compliment He Got From Kobe Bryant

There is no doubt that shooting guard Kobe Bryant is one of the most respected figures among former players. People respect his skill level and hard-working mentality, and many view him as a role model. Kobe Bryant's praise was hard to earn, and only the best of the best get it.

Recently, superstar Stephen Curry revealed the biggest compliment he ever got from Kobe Bryant. He claimed that Kobe Bryant knew that he was a killer on the court despite his smile, with Curry noting that Bryant knew the two had the "same spirit".

"One of the best compliments I ever got, when [Kobe] recognized the killer instinct behind the smile. You know Mamba Mentality… He acknowledged that same spirit but knew that I did it with a smile on my face." 

There is no doubt that Kobe Bryant and Stephen Curry are known for being clutch on the court. It is easy to see why Bryant found a kindred spirit in Curry, and it is clear that "Mamba Mentality" is present in Curry as well.

This past season, Stephen Curry averaged 29.4 PPG, 6.1 RPG, and 6.3 APG for the Golden State Warriors. He is clearly still at the peak of his powers, and we'll see if Curry can win more championships in the future.

Snoop Dogg Thinks Stephen Curry Is The Closest Player To Kobe Bryant

There is no doubt that many people have been compared to Stephen Curry, but nobody is quite the same. However, some are close, and rapper Snoop Dogg once claimed that Stephen Curry is the closest player to Kobe Bryant.

"The closest that I'd say, would be Steph Curry... He's never considered the best, but he's always the best when it's time to be the best."

It is clear that Kobe Bryant wasn't the only one who saw a bit of himself in Stephen Curry. There are clear similarities between the two players. Perhaps their playstyles are a little bit different, with Curry being a 3PT sniper and Bryant being a midrange assassin. However, the two clearly were risers in the biggest moments, and have both won multiple championships during their time in the NBA.
