The Zach Wilson era in New York appears to be all but over.
The Jets former second overall pick was benched Sunday evening during their loss to the bills in Buffalo for third string QB Tim Boyle, and Robert Saleh has elected to stick with Boyle moving forward.
The team announced Boyle as their starting QB for their Friday night game against the Miami Dolphins, a team whose defense had three interceptions in a win against the Raiders this week – surely not a great matchup for the former undrafted signal caller.
The Jets had hoped for Wilson to keep the Jets in playoff contention until Aaron Rodgers returned from his achillies tear, but with the playoff chances dwindling following three straight losses. that outlook seems bleak.
