Rob McElhenney was left in tears after Wrexham secured promotion to League Two for the first time in 15 years. The Red Dragons' co-owner, who took over the club back in 2021 alongside fellow Hollywood A-lister Ryan Reynolds, experienced every emotion as his side came from 1-0 down to win 3-1 against Boreham Wood. Lee Ndlovu put the visitors ahead after just one minute but Wrexham responded 14 minutes later with an Elliot Lee header. Yet the real drama unfolded in the second half as star striker Paul Mullin netted twice to send the Racecourse Ground into raptures.
