Plymouth Argyle secured the League One title with a 3-1 victory over Port Vale on the final day of the season. James Plant gave Vale an early lead, but Adam Randell and Joe Edwards scored to put Plymouth ahead before Finn Azaz sealed the win.
The result means Argyle finish on 101 points, three clear of runners-up Ipswich Town, securing their return to the Championship for the first time since 2010. The win was also Plymouth's first league title in 19 years. Manager Steven Schumacher praised his team's "brilliant character" and "loads of quality" in the victory.
