Erling Haaland has broken the record for the most goals scored in a Premier League season by surpassing Alan Shearer and Andrew Cole's 34-goal record. The Norwegian striker scored his 35th league goal of the campaign in Manchester City's 3-0 win against West Ham.
Haaland has achieved this feat in just his debut season in English football with five more games left to add to his tally. His 35 goals are also the most by a player in a single campaign in the English top division since Ron Davies scored 37 for Southampton in 1966-67.
