21/04/2023

Shimron Hetmyer hit an unbeaten 56 off 26 balls, as the Rajasthan Royals beat the Gujarat Titans by three wickets.

After being put into bat first, holders Gujarat finished their 20 overs with 177 runs on the board.

Shubman Gill (45), Hardik Pandya (28) and David Miller (46) were amongst the runs, but the Titans couldn't capitalise on a good start, loosing three wickets in the final three overs.

Sandeep Sharma took two wickets for 25 runs, with Trent Boult, Adam Zampa and Yuzvendra Chahal also amongst the wickets.

In response, Rajasthan slumped to 4-2, with both openers falling for low scores. But Devdutt Padikkal and Sanju Samson (60) rebuilt the innings to set up a tight finish.

Gujrat took regular wickets, but Rajasthan needed 18 runs from the final two overs to take the points, and they did just that with four balls left.
