The Chicago Bulls became a dynasty after conquering their nemesis, the Detroit Pistons. The Pistons had eliminated the Bulls from the playoffs for three straight years until the Bulls swept them in the 1991 Eastern Conference Finals on their way to their first NBA championship. Michael Jordan said they not only beat the Pistons but embarrassed them. The Pistons were known as "The Bad Boys" for their physical style of play and unsportsmanlike conduct, which included walking off the court before time expired during their loss to the Bulls. With the Pistons' era coming to an end, the Bulls went on to win five more championships in the next seven years.
