Thousands of seats for Adele's concerts in Munich remain unsold after backlash over high ticket prices. Despite 260,000 fans queuing for hours for tickets last week, many were shocked by the prices and now Ticketmaster shows that there are still 2,000 seats available for the shows. The cheapest ticket was priced at £281, while the most expensive reached over £1,000 for stage-side seats. Fans took to social media to express their frustration, calling the prices "criminal" and unaffordable for regular people.
If the seats don't sell, promoters may have to consider reducing prices. Adele, who is currently performing in a Las Vegas residency, will play 10 dates in Munich between August 2 and August 24, which are her first shows since 2015. She has already added four extra dates due to high demand. Adele's shows will take place in an open-air arena with a capacity for 80,000 people per night. Despite the backlash, Adele announced on Instagram that she is excited to perform in Europe again and end this phase of her career on a high note. She also confirmed plans for a future world tour after the release of her next album. Her current residency in Las Vegas will end in June 2024.
