A Decade of Anticipation
It's been over a decade since the release of "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows," and fans are eagerly awaiting the third installment. Directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Robert Downey Jr., the first two films were huge hits, grossing over a billion dollars combined. Despite the success, "Sherlock Holmes 3" has been stuck in development, leaving fans wondering what the hold-up is.

Guy Ritchie Shares His Thoughts
Recently, while promoting his new film "Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre," Guy Ritchie provided some insight into the delay. Ritchie, who directed the first two Sherlock Holmes films, explained, "Well, honestly, I left this up to Robert [Downey Jr.]. So Robert wanted to be in charge of this. The ball's in his court, so he's in charge of the script, he's in charge of the whole thing. I've moonwalked out of that until there's a time for me to get involved.
" It seems Downey Jr. is taking a hands-on approach, overseeing every aspect of the production.
