It's been over 10 years since fans met the Duncan family on the Disney Channel original series, Good Luck Charlie. With 3 other siblings (which eventually turned into 4 siblings,) Teddy Duncan goes through life while making video diaries for her younger sister.
A number of those video diaries feature Teddy's eccentric mom, Amy Duncan. She may be known for her love for theater and going to Southwest Denver Community College, but above anything else, Amy Duncan loved her family and her children, no matter what Gabe Duncan says.
This character was portrayed by actress Leigh-Allyn Baker, who has since taken to social media to share her thoughts on a number of current events. For fans, those opinions weren't exactly mutual.
Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, a number of celebrities and public figures shared pictures of themselves wearing face masks. That includes presidential nominee, Joe Biden. The actress responded to the picture, tweeting, "No thank you.
It's not law. Just an overreaching suggestion. But you do you."
Almost instantly, it became a top trending topic on social media, with some Good Luck Charlie fans sharing their surprise at the actress. As a result, Twitter users shared other Disney Channel moms worthy of recognition, instead.
From Tanya Baxter from That's So Raven and Carrie Martin from The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, there are plenty of iconic parents throughout Disney Channel's history.
Fans shared their favorites, along with their thoughts on Leigh-Allyn Baker's latest tweet.
"Amy Duncan is anti-vaccine, anti-wearing masks, and pro-police. literally the worst disney channel mom ever. STAN TANYA BAXTER, CAREY MARTIN, AND THERESA RUSSO," one Twitter user said.
"Not us finding out Amy Duncan is a Republican. Stan the best parents on Disney Channel Teresa and Jerry Russo," another Twitter user wrote, mentioning the parents from Disney Channel's Wizards of Waverly Place.
